Called to Go: Where it all began

In September 1995, while reading Scripture one morning, Kenneth Wilson felt the Lord impress a passage deeply on his heart:

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19–20

These verses—known as the Great Commission—were more than just familiar words. God used them to stir Kenneth’s heart and show him what He was calling him to do.

That moment led to the birth of Reaching and Teaching Ministries.

Kenneth and his wife Dorothy took their first mission trip in 1996 — first to Uganda, and then later that year to the Philippines. While in the Philippines, they sensed clearly that God was calling them to continue the work there.

In 1997, they visited India for the first time. Again, God confirmed that this was another place He wanted them to serve.

By God’s grace, the ministry has continued in both countries for over 26 years. It’s been an incredible journey with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

  • We’ve connected with over 900 pastors and churches
  • Youth, school, and hospital ministries have been established
  • Many have responded to the gospel and experienced healing and hope in Christ

We thank God for His grace and mercy. Everything we have seen and done has only been possible through Jesus. Without Him, we could do nothing.

To Him be all the glory.

Mark and Sharon Rodgers

Mark Rodgers is Chairman of the Board for Reaching and Teaching Ministries and lives in the United Kingdom. He regularly travels to the Philippines, preaching and teaching among students, young adults, prisoners and within churches. His wife Sharon has a heart for children and young people, and for over a decade has undertaken short-term mission work in India. Most of her time has been spent in schools, teaching the Bible through a clear, chronological approach—guiding young people from Genesis to Jesus. Together, they are passionate to see leaders raised up who will be equipped and sent out to preach Christ and His gospel faithfully.

Hans and Ermecita Ramsier

Hans, a missionary from Switzerland, and his wife Ermecita, from the Philippines, have served with Reaching and Teaching Ministries for over 10 years. As RTM’s Mission Base Leaders, they live on the island of Mindoro and lead outreach from the mission house. They work closely with local churches and have a shared heart for young people, students and pastors—coming alongside them to encourage, strengthen and equip them for faithful gospel ministry. Their long-term service continues to build up the church and extend Christ’s kingdom across the region.

Kenneth and Dorothy Wilson

Kenneth is the Founding Director of Reaching and Teaching Ministries, and he and his wife Dorothy live in Northern Ireland. They have served in the Philippines and India for over 26 years. Together they have built lasting ministry partnerships, supported pastors and churches, and helped develop outreach in schools, prisons and hospitals—with a clear focus on making disciples and lifting high the name of Jesus. Their journey has been marked by faith, obedience and a deep love for the global Church.
